LEGO Minecraft

After BRICKLIVE 2015 World record breaking build, LEGO Minecraft is back and its going to be EVEN bigger!

Last year we had hundreds of the very latest LEGO Minecraft sets shipped in - and YOU helped us build a huge Minecraft terrain out of LEGO bricks! It was so big in fact that it was awarded the Guinness World Record for Largest LEGO® Videogame Diorama.

Well this year, we’re going to go even bigger, especially as LEGO has just unveiled its latest collection of four Minecraft play-sets due to be released this summer.
The new Minecraft-inspired sets feature various locations from the hit videogame, as well as an exclusive LEGO and Mojang co-creation entitled The Desert Outpost.
The Dungeon play-set challenges kids to fight off the advances of a horde of zombies, while mining for gold ore and redstone, while the Snow Hideout places you in the middle of an icy mining expedition. Minecraft fans will be able to build their own Snow Golem to ward off the exploding Creeper.
The Desert Outpost features a house, lookout tower and a fortress, all designed to keep the roaming skeletons at bay, and finally the Nether Fortress lets kids can take on the red-eyed, fireball shooting Ghast to obtain the chest containing diamonds and a golden sword.
Each LEGO Minecraft set features four cubic modular vignettes that can be connected to recreate the Minecraft experience in LEGO bricks. One Minecraft block is represented as one 1×1 LEGO plate with a tile on top - not a perfect cube, but the best approximation at the chosen scale.
LEGO Minecraft includes two of Minecraft’s most iconic characters, Steve and a Creeper, represented as ‘Micro Mobs’. The model presents a standard for building a Minecraft world that can be configured any way the builder likes.
The surface of the modules comes off to reveal mines and hidden resources beneath. Fans can build their own landscapes, stack cubes on top of each other, to build the world of Minecraft as they wish.
