Adult fans of LEGO, or AFOLs as they are known amongst those with a passion for building amazing displays from the World’s favourite toy, are being invited to bring their own creations to BRICK 2015 when it makes its West Midlands’ debut at Birmingham’s NEC from 29th October to 1st November.
The organisers of BRICK, which celebrates all things LEGO to create a haven for fans of all ages, are looking for amazing builds for it’s ‘My Own Creation’ display in it’s Fan Zone.
Show Director Bev Channell explains: “A hugely important part of BRICK is the Fan Zone where we get to showcase creations from Fan Builders across the World. We are looking for builds to help amaze and inspire our visitors.”
If you’d like to take part in BRICK 2015 NEC by showing off your build in the Fan Zone then the organisers would love to hear from you.
They can accept displays from anyone over 18 years or over 16, with written consent from their legal parent or guardian, and will accept builds made by pairs, small groups or teams as well as individuals. BRICK receives hundreds of submissions each year from some of the best builders from across Europe, but if your creation is accepted then you may be eligible for help towards expenses such as accommodation and travel.
“We’re looking for cool displays that show a real creative flair,” adds Bev. “Beyond that, the criteria is quite flexible. Obviously as a family show, the displays need to represent appropriate themes, but overall we will select the entries that showcase just what can be achieved with some LEGO and a fantastic imagination.”
If you are interested in exhibiting your creations at BRICK 2015 NEC, please fill in the online form available here but be quick as submissions will close on at 11:59pm GMT on Sunday 23rd August.
